Cortland Park is just a block away from a large shopping center with eateries, shops and a P&C Fresh supermarket where you can get those fresh veggies to make up for that fast food. There also is a municipal bus line stop (route 1, stop 12).
Cortland Downtown
We are walking distance to the antique Cortland downtown which is the beating heart of this community with fairs, festivals, a twice a week farmers market (Tues. and Sat. 8am-2pm) and all of the energy, performances and cool shops you would expect in a college town. Cortland will keep you involved, keep you entertained, keep you fed, and you will not go thirsty.
The restoration process goes on apace with one significant structure after another being restored to a higher and higher standard and the community social calendar is getting busier and busier. Quite a combination!

Aside from winter sports you’ve got bowling, a movie theater, craft breweries, the CNY Living History Center, the 1890 House Museum limestone mansion tours, Hope Lake Lodge Cascades Indoor Water Park, Cortland Country Music Park, the JM McDonald sports complex with everything from circuit training to Yoga and sport-specific facilities and training, and much more.
If you want to get in your car, the absolute multitude of offerings in Ithaca, Binghamton and Syracuse are less than an hour away.
One of our regional favorites is Carpenter Falls in Bahar Nature Preserve, in Skaneateles, with four waterfalls, the highest being 90 feet! A Google search brings up a lot of info on the falls.
